In a recent post on Weibo, the Chinese brand confirmed that it will debut the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powered smartphone. The brand shared a teaser image poster that showcased the new chipset, but has yet to confirm which model will feature this new chipset. This was shared on the brand’s Chinese social media account, but OnePlus executive Li Jie Louis has confirmed that this model will be seeing a global.

To recall, the upcoming OnePlus 15 flagship phone is set to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which will soon be announced as Qualcomm’s latest and greatest. So the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will arrive as a step below option that could likely power next gen flagship killer or budget flagship smartphones.
